Games 121, 122: Trenton Thunder (60-60) @ Erie SeaWolves (57-63)

There is a kid stampede in the middle of every game at Jerry Uht Park in Erie. Let's just say it's a sight to see...

Today’s Game Notes

The Thunder open a four-game set with the Erie SeaWolves on Tuesday evening with an important doubleheader at Jerry Uht Park.  Sunday’s loss in Harrisburg not only sent the Thunder to their fifth straight series loss, but it allowed the Reading Phillies to draw even with Trenton for the Wild Card Spot in the Eastern Division.

LHP Shaeffer Hall will make his 22nd start of the season in game one for Trenton.  After winning four straight starts, the lefty has lost two straight starts.  Hall has made two starts against Erie this season, receiving a no decision on the road in May and winning at home in July.

LHP Jay Voss gets the game one nod for Erie, making his fifteenth start of the season.  Voss lost in New Hampshire on Wednesday, allowing four runs in five innings.  The lefty picked-up a loss on July 19 in Trenton.

RHP Cory Arbiso starts for the Thunder in game two, appearing in the role for the seventh time this season.  As a starter, the righty is 0-1 with a 7.08 ERA, including a July 20 start against Erie in Trenton.  In the outing, Arbiso allowed two runs in three innings.

LHP Drew Smyly will make his fourth start of the season for the SeaWolves as he gets the nod in game two.  The lefty won his first two outings, then lost his last time out.  In the outing, Smyly allowed just one run on three hits in five innings in a loss in New Hampshire.

The Bank of Princeton’s Hank’s Take it to the Bank:  Shaeffer Hall will end his losing streak tonight.  Season Stats: .465 batting average (53-114, hit streak: +2)
