A solid 7-4 victory over Harrisburg on Saturday night not only erased the memory of a deflating loss to the Senators on Friday night, but it set up a rubber match in the series finale on Sunday evening at Metro Bank Park. To complete the series victory, the Thunder will need to win back-to-back games for the first time since winning four straight from July 24-July 27. Trenton also heads into Sunday’s game looking for their first series win since sweeping Akron in at Canal Park in late July.
RHP Graham Stoneburner will make his seventh start of the season on Sunday evening and his third start against the Senators. In two April starts against Harrisburg this season, one at home and one away, the righty from Clemson went 1-0, allowing just two earned runs in 11.0 innings. Stoneburner will look to bounce back from his last outing when he allowed a career high five runs in a loss at home to Binghamton.
RHP Erik Arnesen will make his thirteenth start of the season this evening for the Senators. The righty picked-up the win over Trenton on April 21, hurling a scoreless inning of relief. Arnesen has been solid for the Senators this season since converting to the starting role, faring 5-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 12 starts.
The Bank of Princeton’s Hank’s Take it to the Bank: Ray Kruml will get a hit tonight. Season Stats: .460 batting average (52-113, hit streak: +1)
