Aeros Sweep Thunder Despite Four Krum Hits

(Trenton, NJ) – Austin Krum had four hits in his return to Trenton on Thursday afternoon, but the Akron Aeros (58-54) beat the Thunder (57-54) 7-4 to complete a three-game sweep at Waterfront Park. The Aeros used a four-run sixth inning to chase Thunder starter Shaeffer Hall and grab a commanding lead that was too much for Trenton to overcome. Damon Sublett also drove in two runs for the Thunder, who complete a 1-6 homestand at Waterfront Park. The defeat also drops the Thunder to 4.5 games out of first place in the Eastern League’s Eastern Division and 1.0 game out of the Wild Card spot.
