Game 101: Trenton Thunder (52-48) @ Bowie Baysox (55-43)

Vladimir Guerrero, seen here in his 1995 rookie card, will rehab for the Baysox tonight.

Today’s Game Notes

On another hot, muggy night in Maryland, the Thunder saw their road losing streak hit 11 games last night as the Bowie Baysox rallied to take the lead and then held on for a 6-4 win over Trenton.  Losing the first three games of this series and road trip, the Thunder will need to win the final four games of the trek to make it a winning venture to Bowie and Akron.

LHP Shaeffer Hall comes off one of the best outings of his career to try to stop Trenton’s road losing streak.  The lefty from Kansas City will look to extend his team lead in wins, which stands at eight entering his first career start against Bowie.  On Tuesday against Reading, Hall hurled eight masterful innings to shut down the Erie SeaWolves, allowing just two runs to grab a win.

RHP Oliver Drake will make his fifth career Double A start tonight and his first career start against the Thunder.  In four starts this season for the Baysox, the righty and Massachusetts native has won once, lost once and received two no decisions.  On Tuesday, Drake hurled 3.1 innings in a no decision on the road against Harrisburg.

The Bank of Princeton’s Hank’s Take it to the Bank:  The Thunder will end their 11-game road losing streak tonight.  Season Stats: 41 wins, 53 losses (streak: L1)
