Game 91: Reading Phillies (47-43) @ Trenton Thudner (48-42)

Current Thunder broadcasters Jay Burnham and Hank Fuerst will now call games in the Tom McCarthy Radio Booth, which was dedicated on Thursday to the former Thunder and current Philadelphia Phillies broadcaster.

A trip home to Mercer County Waterfront Park could not come at a better time for the Thunder, who’s nine consecutive losses stand just one shy of a franchise record.  Tonight, the Thunder open a seven-game homestand with game one of a four-game set with Brad Lidge the Reading Phillies.

LHP Shaeffer Hall makes his sixteenth start of the season tonight in game one with the Phillies.  The lefty received a no decision on Saturday night in Reading, surrendering three runs on seven hits in five frames.  Hall is 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA in four starts against the R-Phils this season, including a May 11 loss at Waterfront Park.

RHP J.C. Ramirez will make his seventeenth start of the season for Reading tonight.  Ramirez took the loss on May 10 at Waterfront Park in his only start against the Thunder this season (4R, 7H, 3.0 IP).  On Thursday in Bowie, the Nicaraguan righty hurled eight innings without allowing an earned run but received a loss.

The Bank of Princeton’s Hank’s Take it to the Bank:  Reading starter J.C. Ramirez will not factor into the decision today. Season Stats: 36 wins, 47 losses (streak: L5)
