(Reading, PA) – Melky Mesa fell just a triple shy of the cycle, but the Trenton Thunder (48-40) were beaten 6-4 by the Reading Phillies (45-43) on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. The loss extends the Thunder’s season-high losing streak to seven games. In game two of the four-game set in Reading, the Thunder had leads of 1-0 and 4-3, but the R-Phils scored the game’s final three runs to drop Trenton to nine games under .500 on the road in 2011.
