Fast Start Provides Plenty in Sixth Straight Win

(Trenton, NJ) – Scoring seven runs in the first two innings, the Trenton Thunder (47-32) held on to win 8-6 over the Altoona Curve (34-44) on Thursday night at Waterfront Park. In the team’s sixth straight win, Melky Mesa’s two run double paced Trenton to a four-run first inning and Bradely Suttle’s two-run single capped a three-run second inning. In game one of a four-game set, Steve Garrison grabbed his second straight win and Ray Kruml and Corban Joseph both had three hits for Trenton, who win for the 29th time in 40 games at home in 2011.
