Game 68: Trenton Thunder (39-28) @ Binghamton Mets (22-43)

This patch was stitched on the hats of the Yankees and Mets during the 2000 World Series, also known as the "Subway Series". The Thunder and B-Mets are having a "Subway Series North" during this three-game series in Binghamton.

Currently riding the team’s first three-game losing streak since late April, the Thunder look to get back to their May winning ways in game two of a three-game set in Binghamton. Trenton is in the Southern Tier of New York for the first and only time in 2011. Binghamton will make their third of three trips to Waterfront Park in early August. The Thunder are currently in their longest road swing of the season with three-game stops in Binghamton, Portland and New Britain.

LHP Kei Igawa will make his sixth start of the season for the Thunder and his second-career start against Binghamton. The former Hanshin Tiger, who was briefly called-up to AAA Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre last week, last appeared for Trenton on June 7 when he dominated the Reading Phillies to the tune of one run on three hits in 6.2 innings.

RHP Jeurys Familia will start for the eighth time this season for the B-Mets. The highly-touted righty has made two appearances at Waterfront Park this season, combining to hurl 13.2 innings and surrender four runs in two no decisions.
