Game 66: Harrisburg Senators (35-28) @ Trenton Thunder (39-26)

Thunder 6'8'' RHP Dellin Betances was interviewed before today's game by fellow 6'8'' RHP David Palladino. Palladino was drafted in the 13th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Emerson (NJ) High School and talked to Betances about going through the draft process for MSG Varsity.

Today’s Game Notes

The Thunder will bring this six-game homestand to a close tonight with the finale of a three-game set with the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals). The Thunder can make it a 4-2 homestand with a win and can clinch a series victory at home for the ninth time in eleven tries in 2011. After Thursday night’s affair with the Senators, Trenton will embark on the season’s longest road swing, a trip to Binghamton, Portland and New Britain.

RHP Craig Heyer will look to win his third straight start tonight when he takes the mound against Harrisburg for the third time in 2011. Heyer made his first two starts of the year against the Senators, taking two tough-luck losses. In his last four outings, the Scottsdale, Arizona, native is 3-1 with a 2.63 ERA.

RHP Tanner Roark will make his seventh start of the season, looking to give the Senators a series win over the Thunder. The righty and former Rangers farmhand is 3-2 in six starts but has an elevated ERA of 6.67 (20 ER / 27.0 IP). Roark last worked on Friday at home against Akron when he only lasted 2.2 innings and gave up seven runs.

The Bank of Princeton’s Hank’s Take it to the Bank: A night after collecting just three hits, at least two players in the Thunder lineup tonight will have a multi-hit game. Season Stats: 24 wins, 36 losses (streak: W3)
