Sweep Attempt Falls Short As B-Mets Win in Extras

Thunder Manager Tony Franklin sits down with Jay Burnham on the SBLI Pre-Game Show

(Trenton, NJ) – The Trenton Thunder (38-25) were unable to sweep the Binghamton Mets (20-41) Sunday at Waterfront Park as the B-Mets took the series finale 7-6 in 12 innings. Binghamton scored two runs with one out in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings and won the game with two more runs in the top of the twelfth inning. Long solo homeruns from DeAngelo Mack and Cody Johnson were not enough for Trenton, who still reside in the top spot of the Eastern League’s Eastern Division.
