Heyer, Big Inning Pace Thunder to Win

Patience Purdy joins the SBLI Pre-Game Show to discuss tomorrow’s “Paws for a Cause Dog Walk” benefiting Trenton Thunder Charities

(Trenton, NJ) – The Trenton Thunder (37-24) used a four-run fourth inning and the right arm of Craig Heyer to beat the Binghamton Mets (19-40) 7-3 on Friday night in front of 7,251 at Waterfront Park. Taking advantage of seven walks and two B-Mets’ errors that led to runs, the Thunder have won 23 of 31 home games in 2011. Thunder starter Craig Heyer limited the B-Mets to just three runs in five and two-thirds innings to grab his team-leading sixth win of the year.

The friendly confines
Get cozier with each win
Must be the water

Jay:
Thunder return to
Those Waterfront winning ways
