The Thunder kicked-started a seven-day, six-game homestand with a Friday night win over Binghamton, who is in town for the second of three trips, and can now grab another home series victory with a win Saturday night. Trenton will play three over the weekend with the B-Mets, have an off day Monday, then take on the Harrisburg Senators for three games next week.
LHP Manny Banuelos will make his first career start against the B-Mets and his 12th start of 2011 tonight at Waterfront Park. The lefty is coming off of his worst outing of the season. On Monday in Reading, Banuelos allowed a career-high nine hits and gave up his first two homeruns of the season.
RHP Collin McHugh will make his third career AA start tonight at Waterfront Park after going 0-1, 4.35 in his first two. McHugh, who started the year in Advanced A St. Lucie and went 1-2, 6.31, is a native of Covington, GA, and attended Berry College.
