Comeback Falls Short in 2-1 Loss

On today’s SBLI Pre-Game Show, Cody Johnson takes us back to his clutch, two-out, two-run homerun on Sunday to tie the score 2-2.

(Trenton, NJ) – The Trenton Thunder (31-20) were unable to complete another dramatic come-from-behind win, losing 2-1 to the Altoona Curve (27-24) Tuesday night at Waterfront Park in game one of the three-game set. Cody Johnson doubled home Bradley Suttle in the bottom of the ninth to bring the winning run to the plate with no one out, but the Thunder could not bring Johnson home and fell by one run. Craig Heyer was the tough-luck loser for the Thunder, giving up just two runs in six innings. Despite the loss, the Thunder complete the month of May with a 21-8 record, just two wins shy of tying a franchise record.
