Johnson Leads Thunder to Fifth Straight Win

(Reading, PA) – In game one of a three game series, the Trenton Thunder (25-18) beat the Reading Phillies (24-19) 5-2 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania. Cody Johnson hit a long three-run homerun, and Shaeffer Hall hurled six shutout innings against the Eastern League’s best hitting team to lead the Thunder in the win. The win is Trenton’s fifth straight, their longest winning streak of the season.
