Opening Day Baseball Haiku

At the conclusion of each home game on the Thunder radio network, fans are encouraged to join the broadcast in a segment titled  Baseball Haiku. Several Thunder staff members will submit their Haiku during the post-game show to recap the Thunder game or describe events that transpired at the ballpark . Baseball Haiku stems from a book published in 2007 called The Best Haiku Ever Written About the Game. For anyone who feels like joining in, feel free to email: radio@trentonthunder.com in your best 5-7-5 syllable styled prose. The Haiku from last night, after just two runs scored, including an opposite field home run from Cody Johnson.
